BREAKING: Israeli Govnt to Shut Down UNRWA Offices, Others

Israeli Government has announced readiness to shut down every group domiciling in Israel allegedly supporting Hamas.

The announcement is a sequel to the various activities of Hamas in Israel as the war between the two parties lingers.

It would be recalled that one of the largest banks in Israel, bank Leumi, has shut down an account of UNRWA following a series of ill-fated activities allegedly carried out by the group.

Reports reveal that UNRWA’s annual budget currently stands at $1.2 billion, which comes mainly from donations.

Meanwhile, as of this moment, about 75% of UNRWA’s budgets have been suspended, following the decisions of donor countries that have already announced the halting of funding.

Recall that an Israeli bank has earlier notified UNRWA that it is blocking the UN agency’s bank account due to ‘tangible suspicions it is transferring funds to terror groups in Gaza’, reports the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

This is as the UN Secretary-General announced an investigation into UNRWA’s activities Founding 75 years ago to aid refugees of the 1948 Palestine War, the organization currently provides support for almost six million Palestinian refugees.

However, in a dossier just six pages long, Israel has alleged that 12 of the agency’s more than thirteen thousand staff in Gaza were involved in the 7th October attacks, leading nations including the UK and the US to withdraw their financial support.
