What Nigeria Requires to Handle Security Challenges – Ndume

The security of lives and properties is the top responsibility of every good government that prioritizes the people in its administrative agenda. Thus, countries or societies bedeviled by high levels of insecurity often find it difficult to grow on all fronts.

Meanwhile, Nigeria, the Giant of Africa has in recent decades been confronted by incessant terrorism and other forms of insecurity.

Reacting to the aged-long issues, the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Ali Ndume said Nigeria does not have enough security agencies and personnel to handle the security challenges of the country.

Ndume stated this in an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday.

He said, “Right now we don’t have enough security agencies or personnel to handle the security challenges.”

”Right now we do not have enough security agencies or personnel to handle the security challenges;

He, however, suggests more recruitment of personnel to boost the capacity required to handle the security situation in the country.
