United States Secretary Antony Blinken has called the attention of the Israeli military on the exigent need to ensure the safety of civilians as the war against Hamas advances to the next phase in Gaza’s largest cities.
Blinken said on Sunday that the Israeli military is failing in its announced intention to protect as many Palestinian civilians as possible who are trying to flee Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
He emphasizes the need to protect the Palestinian civilians as they make efforts to vacate from the growing war zone.
In his words: “ It’s imperative to ensure that the Palestinian Civilians are protected,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken told CNN’s “State of the Union” show.
Meanwhile, the ongoing retribution attack in Gaza has claimed no fewer than nineteen thousand lives including women and children since the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that claimed 1407 citizens.
UNGA has announced Tuesday to meet and discuss an immediate ceasefire.
