Photos: Gov. Wike Demonstrates Great Virtue, Assists Presidential Aspirant Into Vehicle

Leadership is not for the weak but for the vibrant and physically stable individuals who have the potential and agility to contain the heat of polity in any given circumstance. It’s however, not news in Africa, how those who are supposed to be on vacation enjoying their old age and the fruits of their labour would continue to struggle for power and political positions in their countries.

Little wonder, Nigeria, among other African countries has continued to witness a series of gerontocracies (leadership by the elderly in society).

Consequently, most of the leaders are always globetrotting for heath reasons occurring mostly due to old age. Meanwhile, the leaders don’t consider health sector very important to be prioritized among other things in the country. They rather enjoy trips to other developed countries for medical care.

Ahead of the February, 25th general elections in Nigeria, the governor of Rivers State, Nyelson Wike yesterday, received the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, at Port Harcourt, the state’s capital.

The meeting was a sequel to the APC’s Presidential rally held at Port Harcourt on Wednesday.

However, the event which attracted a mammoth of the APC supporters from within and across the State, created some sorts of questions about the agility of the flag bearer of the APC, while he continues to contain the stress of regular rallies and campaigns across the states in the country.

Consequently, some photos of the APC’s Presidentail flag bearer, Senator Bola Tinubu have surfaced and flooded Social media, as the governor of Rivers State, Nyelson Wike spotted assisting him into a vehicle.

Reacting, some of the Netizens have described Wike as a kind-hearted man who cares for the weak and the elderly in society.

“Wike is very caring…caring for the weak and the elderly is a virtue.”
