Brazilian football legend Kaká and his childhood sweetheart, Caroline Celico, seemed to have a fairy-tale romance.

Married in 2005, the couple enjoyed nearly a decade together before deciding to part ways in 2015. Together, they raised two children and built a life many would envy, but despite the seemingly perfect picture, all was not well.

Caroline recently opened up about the reasons behind their surprising split. She explained that while Kaká was a faithful and caring partner who provided a loving home, she felt unfulfilled. “He never betrayed me, he treated me well, and gave me a wonderful family, but I was not happy,” she disclosed.

According to Caroline, Kaká’s flaw was that he was “too perfect,” which left her feeling disconnected and ultimately led to their divorce.
