Why U.S Re-designates Houthis in Yemen as Terror Group
The United States of America has re-designated Houthis in Yemen as a terror group following an earlier report of first-ever airstrikes at the target in the past weeks.
This was made known in a release signed by National Advisor Jake Sullivan on the terrorist designation of Houthi.
According to the statement, the re-designation is a sequel to the several unprecedented attacks against the United States Forces and the International Maritime Vessel operating in the Red Sea and Gulf Arden by Yemen-based Houthis militants in the past few months.
They have endangered the U.S. personnel, civilian miners, and our partners, hood and jeopardized global trade and freedom of navigation.
The United States and the International Community have been united in our response and condemning the attack in its strongest terms.
