VIDEOS: Except Nnamdi Kanu: No One Ever Goes to Abuja and Remains The Same”. Long Live Ohamadike Ndigbo

Amid his oppressors Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB has remained resolute despite the perpetual dehumanizing acts against him. At the dawn of his first arrest and incarceration on October 17, 2015, in Lagos by the SSS.

Kanu was subsequently arraigned before a court in Ncountry home in 2015. It was one of the epic settings for the hearing of his case at the Federal High Court, Abuja that Kanu fondly addressed as Ohamadike Ndigbo burst in rages and absolute bitterness over what he perceived as a breach of one’s fundamental human rights.

Kanu’s legal team was begging him to calm down but to no avail as he continued to say that he could defend himself against the Nigerian Government. He further stated that no court would condone a Secret Trial of his case while announcing his intellectual capability over the Buhari-led administration.

“Buhari can not jail me. I’m more intelligent than they are. They want to carry out a secret trial…” Kanu rages in anger.

It will be recalled that the IPOB’s leader in one of his broadcasts on Radio Biafra London averred that no one in Nigeria ever goes to Abuja and comes back the same. His assertion seemingly found credence in the various Nigerian politicians, especially from the Eastern part of the Country who would preach and promise the masses heaven on earth only to go to Abuja or even receive a phone call and everything becomes a bygone.

The recent case of a traditional religion activist, Mazi Mathias Ezeaku who was arrested and taken to Abuja is another manifestation of Kanu’s views on how Abuja changes one’s opinion or views in Nigeria. Mazi Ezeaku has upon his arrest and detention in police custody in Abuja come out with a new being. He now assertively speaks with every atom of humility, love, and consciousness of people’s fundamental rights.

Meanwhile, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been in detention since 2021, undergoing different forms of dehumanizing acts coupled with an ill health condition but remains resolute, indefatigable and firm.
Kanu is indeed a man of his wors. Little wonder he told his followers that they would be the ones to disappoint him along the lines of the struggle for the freedom of Biafra. What has transpired ever since Kanu’s extraordinary rendition and solitary confinement are testaments to his prophetic words.
