SHOCKING: 10-Year-Old Boy Str@ngles Friend to Death in Lagos

A 10-year-old boy, Ezekiel Evbota, has been taken into custody following the alleged murder of his friend, Israel Ogunleye, during what began as an innocuous game of football in Ejigbo community of Lagos State.

The incident unfolded on a seemingly normal Friday afternoon around 5pm, in the Powerline vicinity of Ejigbo, where the two youngsters were engaged in a playful match on Oluwole Street. The area, known for its communal vibrancy, turned into a scene of tragedy when a dispute erupted between the friends.

According to Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police, the argument took a fatal turn when Evbota reportedly grabbed Ogunleye by the neck and strangled him. This horrible act was witnessed near the shop of the victim’s mother, adding a layer of grief to the already heartrending situation.

Following the incident, the young victim’s body was transferred to the General Hospital in Isolo, marking a somber conclusion to what began as an afternoon of sportsmanship among friends.
