President Tinubu Set to Attend Inauguration of Senegal’s President-Elect

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to depart for Dakar, Senegal, this Tuesday to partake in the inauguration ceremonies of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Faye.

The office of President Tinubu, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, released a statement highlighting the upcoming trip, emphasizing the importance of this visit not only as a bilateral gesture but also within the broader context of West African solidarity.

Responding to an invitation from the Republic of Senegal, President Tinubu’s attendance at the inauguration event is notably marked by his role as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government.
