Opposition supporters are beginning to throw tantrums at the Labour Party and its supporters, concerning the quality of candidates the party is projecting into the leadership arena in the country.
Recall that there have been a series of somewhat dramatic cases of begging for votes and support by the candidates of the opposition parties, including the People’s Democratic Party candidate for the March 18th, 2023 governorship election in Enugu state, Barrister Peter Mbah, the governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, among others who are kneeling and begging the masses for votes.
Nonetheless, one of the core supporters of the ObiDatti Presidential bid, Aisha Yesufu has objected to the directives of their Principal, Mr. Peter Obi, who called on his supporters, ObiDients to vote for the candidates of the Labour Party from top to bottom.
Aisha who was responding to Mr. Obi’s tweet affirmed that she would not vote for incompetence which is contrary to her quest for good governance in the country.
In her words; ” God forbid that I become what I want to change, I can’t sacrifice competent for partisanship!”
Meanwhile, the photos of the Labour Party winners of the National Assembly polls who were hosted by Mr. Peter Obi have triggered mixed reactions, as one of the distinguished Senators-elect, Senator “Obi Mere Eze” (Emilokan) of Enugu North Senatorial District dosed for hours in the meeting.
Reacting to the development, some concerned citizens have expressed doubts about the capacity of some of the Senators-elect as well as other candidates contesting under the platform of the Labour Party in the States governorship and House of Assembly elections.
According to Social Media Political Commentator, Sen Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, it’s difficult to get the fact that a Senator-elect has started to sleep during an ordinary meeting, even before he reaches Abuja.
“Senator-elect #Idekhenever reach #Abuja, him don dey sle…or ordinary meeting.
“Senator “Obi Mere Eze” #Emilokan Of Enugu North Senatorial Zone was busy sleeping when Mr. Peter Obi was addressing them on the need to stay united and grow the party with the right ideology of good governance for their constituencies.
“He slept for a complete 2hrs as #PeterObi addressed the newly elected house of representatives and Senate members under the Labor Party…
“When #Emilokann woke up he shouted “Odigo ka o aga Adi”.
