Osun man stabs 20-year-old female apprentice to death

Operatives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested one Abdulafeez Shorinmade, for stabbing 20-year-old apprentice, Rofiyat Rasaki, to death in the Iwo area of the state.

The state police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, who disclosed this in a statement said the suspect also stabbed 18-year-old Sawiyu Nasrup on her chin.

Opalola explained that Shorinmade attempted to flee the crime scene after he murdered Rofiyat on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 around 9:30pm around Kajola area of Iwo.

The PPRO also revealed that Shorinmade allegedly under the influence of hard drugs armed himself with a pair scissors and stabbed Rofiyat on her neck.

He said, “On the 12th October, 2022 at about 9:30pm at Kajola Area, Iwo, one Abdulafeez Shorinmade ‘M’ of Feesu, Iwo suspected to be under the influence of drugs armed himself with a pair of scissors and stabbed one Rofiyat Rasaki ‘F’ 20 year old on her neck and she bled to death. Suspect fled the scene.

“On getting to Soba compound, he equally stabbed another female by name Sawiyu Nasrup, 18 yrs old on her chin.”

Opalola disclosed that the DPO and his team swiftly raced to both crime scenes and. The suspect was arrested after a long chase.

The injured victims, Sawiyu was rushed to a hospital for medical attention while the corpse of Rofiyat was taken to the General Hospital, Iwo for certification and preservation for autopsy.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses stated that the young lady was coming from her place of work and unknowingly to her, Abdulafeez was already hiding in a corner where she would pass.
