Nigeria Defeat Togo in CAF African Schools Championship 2023

Nigeria represented by Adoration Football Club, U-15 team of National Grammar School, Nike Enugu State have secured their first win in the ongoing competition by beating the Host country, the Togolese by 4 goals to bill in the opening round.

The founder and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, Amen, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka has expressed delight as his children the Adoration FC, victorious in the first match of the CAF African Schools Football Championship.
Adoration FC, also known as the U-15 team of National Grammar School, Nike, Enugu State, secured a remarkable 4-0 win against their Togolese counterparts and the host in the WAFU B Zonal Finals groupings held in Lome.

This success follows Adoration FC’s triumphant journey, starting with their victory in the national championship staged in the Federal Capital, Abuja, from 2nd to 9th November 2023. Having claimed the title at the national level, they now proudly carry the banner for Enugu State and Nigeria in the ongoing continental competition.

The journey continues as Adoration FC competes alongside representatives from Nigeria, Benin Republic, Ghana, and Co Ivohosts and hosts Togo in the WAFU B Zonal Finals. The competition played in a round-robin format at the Stade Municipal de Kegue, will determine the flagbearer for WAFU B at the continental finals in April 2024.
