Urgent Review of Tax Holidays and Incentives in the Aviation Industry for Indigenous Companies.

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to draw your attention to a pressing matter that requires urgent action to protect indigenous companies operating in the aviation industry of Nigeria. Specifically, I would like to address the issue of tax holidays, incentives, and the recent developments regarding price rivalry that have created challenges for companies like Air Peace, KLM, and others.

It has come to our attention that foreign airlines operating in Nigeria have been engaging in practices that not only humiliate indigenous companies but also exploit the Nigerian populace through exorbitant fares and unfavorable practices. However, Air Peace, a Nigerian-owned airline, has taken commendable steps to rescue Nigerians from this situation, offering affordable fares and reliable services.

In light of these circumstances, I urge you to prioritize the urgent review of tax holidays and incentives within the aviation industry. By providing targeted and beneficial policies to indigenous companies such as Air Peace, KLM, and others, we can enhance their competitiveness and protect them from the humiliation and exploitation caused by certain foreign airlines.

Nigeria’s aviation industry is a vital economic driver, and the success and growth of indigenous companies are crucial for our nation’s development. We must create a level playing field for these companies through revisions to tax policies and incentives to ensure their protection and sustainability.

I humbly request your prompt intervention in addressing this matter. By taking swift action to review tax holidays and incentives, we can demonstrate our commitment to supporting indigenous companies and safeguarding the interests of the Nigerian people.

I trust in your leadership and dedication to the welfare of our great nation. Your attention and action towards this pressing issue will have a positive impact on Nigerian companies and the overall development of our aviation industry.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to witnessing positive actions taken for the benefit of our indigenous companies and Nigerian citizens.

Yours sincerely,

Musbau Semiu Ademola MSA
