CBN Debunks Report of Devaluation of Naira to N630/$1, Gives Current Value
The Central Bank of Nigeria CBN has described it as an outright falsehood and destabilizing innuendo, the news that it has devalued Naira to N630 per $1 by the Daily Trust Newspaper.
The CBN debunked the report through a press statement signed by its Director, Corporate Communications, Isa Abdul Mumin on Thursday.
The apex bank further stated that the exchange rate at the investors’ and Exporters’ (I&E) window traded on Thursday at N465/$1 and has been stable around the same rate for a while now.
