Zamfara governor reinstates 3 commissioners, board chairmen
The reinstatement of three commissioners and three board chairmen of state agencies has been approved by the executive governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle.
Recall that the governor, Matawalle on May 31 dissolved his state executive council.
In a statement earlier released by Zailani Bappa, the spokesman of the governor, it was stated that “His Excellency, Dr Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa, Shattiman Sakkwato) has today, 31st May, 2021, dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect,”.
Chairpersons and members of the state commissions and boards of various agencies were relieved of their duties.
The governor had asked the sacked commissioners to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries.
In another statement issued on Tuesday by Kabiru Balarabe, the state head of service and acting SSG in Gusau, the reinstatement of three commissioners and three board chairman of state agencies was made known.
According to Balarabe, the reinstated commissioners are Ibrahim Dosara, commissioner for information, Sufyanu Yuguda, commissioner for finance, and Fa’ika Ahmad, commissioner for humanitarian affairs.
The board chairmen that were reinstated are Abubakar S/Pawa, chairman of the state’s pilgrims and welfare commission; Abubakar Sodangi, executive chairman, zakat and endowment commission, and Muhammad-Dama, executive chairman, board of internal revenue service.
