Tinubu Set To Return To Nigeria From London ‘Soon’
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is expected back in Nigeria from London soon.
The disclosure was made by one of his followers and the local government chairman of Isolo in Lagos State, Adebayo Olasoju on Friday.
Olasoju made the submission after he visited Tinubu in London on Friday.
Naija News reports Olasoju was with Tinubu at his London abode in the company of veteran Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate).
The LG boss after the visit assured that Tinubu is in perfect health and would storm Nigeria any moment from now.
“Our leader is hale and hearty and we can expect him back in the country soon”, he said.
Naija News reports Tinubu has been in London, the United Kingdom since July and is believed to be recuperating after undergoing a knee surgery.
While in London, his residence has turned to a pilgrimage site of a sort, playing host to many notable individuals and leaders particularly from the APC.
President Muhammadu Buhari has also paid a visit while many current and past APC governors and lawmakers have also paid a visit.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that no special status will be accorded to former President Goodluck Jonathan should he defect to the party and show interest in its 2023 presidential ticket.
The party said Jonathan must like all other party members, pass through the nomination and internal democratic process through which party candidates emerge.
The secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe made the clarification on Friday in a statement where he observed that some erroneous notions are spreading in some sections of the media that the party is ready to grant Jonathan ‘superior’ waivers and an automatic presidential ticket should he join the party.
