The Super Eagles’ Striker and Napoli Superman, Victor Osimhen has remained the talk of the town sequel to the historic performance which helped the Seria A club side, Napoli, to clinch their first-ever League title in 33 years.
It’s the first time a club south of Italy’s traditional soccer capitals of Milan and Turin has won the league since Roma claimed the title in 2001.
In his message to Nigerian International, Osimhen, the Nigerian President-elect, Bola Tinubu expressed gratification with the records created by the striker, encouraging him to keep making the country proud.
According to Tinubu, there was another Coronation in Italy, where a Nigerian son, Victor Osimhen was crowned King of Naples.
“I think we can all agree that there was another coronation in Italy where our son, Victor Osimhen, claimed the crown as the new King of Serie A! The real deal, or idán gangan as younger folks may describe him; Victor has continued the fine tradition of Nigeria’s footballing excellence on the global stage. We are all proud of him and wish him well in what is already a remarkable career.”
