The Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwan, made the clarification.
Police Lieutenant General said four people were killed and around 50 wounded in the blast from an improvised explosive device.
Meanwhile, the injured victims have been hospitalized, while the scene of the explosion was cordoned off by men of the Nigerian police anti-bomb squad.
“The gunmen after attacking and killing the vigilante operatives at the local council secretariat also beheaded one of them.” Source said.
