Former Governor of Anambra State and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi has expressed confidence in the abilities of Governor Charles Soludo.
Soludo was sworn-in on Thursday as the fifth democratic governor of Anambra State, Naija News recalls. Speaking with journalists after attending the swearing-in ceremony, Mr. Obi said he is confident Governor Soludo would bring his knowledge and experience as an economist to bear on the state’s economy and cause positive change. Obi also promised to contribute his quota in ensuring further development of the state, stressing that he believes the new governor has great plans for Anambra based on the content and promises from his inaugural speech. He said, “Anambra will witness economic growth and accelerated development, given Soludo’s antecedents as a renowned economist who has been consulting for financial institutions in Africa and beyond. “I am always in anywhere or place where discussions on how to build Anambra or Nigeria is discussed.
