PDP’s Protest March: Fani-Kayode Alleges Plot To Distablise Nation, Declares APC’s Readiness To Defend Mandate
Femi Fani-Kayode has said that the proposed demonstration of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP over the aftermath of the February 25th, 2023 general polls are geared toward destabilizing the Nation.
Fani-Kayode made this known, following the PDP’s protest march scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th of March, 2023 at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
He alleges that the party wants to incite the people while calling on the Security agencies to take precautions against the looming danger.
According to him, the ruling party and winner of the just concluded presidential election, All Progressives Congress, APC is not worried about the childish tantrums and empty threats by the opposition parties.
He, therefore, warned the PDP to desist from carrying out the proposed protest, even as he maintained that Senator Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the APC are ready to apply whatsoever it would take to defend its mandate.
His words, “The PDP’s protest march scheduled for tomorrow in Abuja is a dangerous precursor to something more sinister.
“They wish to incite destabilize to destabilize SecurityThe security agencies should take note and stop this nonsense before things get out of hand and people are killed.
“How can you be in court and be protesting in the streets at the same time?
“Asiwaju has extended his hand in good faith for peace. He has invited them to the table of fellowship and leadership but in their destructive wrath an,d blind rage they have rejected it.
“We lose no sleep over their childish tantrums and empty threats.
“Whatever they are planning we are ready for them.
“Make no mistake about it: whatever it takes and whether it be in the street, the courts, or elsewhere, we WILL defend our mandate.”
