The Ekiti State Governorship election gets underway today with political parties slugging it out for who will replace Governor Kayode Fayemi for the next four years.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has expressed readiness to conduct today’s election. Some of the candidates and their party participating in the election are: Biodun Oyebanji – All Progressives Congress (APC), Wole Oluyede – African Democratic Congress (ADC), Debo Ajayi – Young Progressives Party (YPP), Moses Olajide – African Action Congress (AAC), Olufemi Obidoyin – All Progressives Congress (APGA), Segun Oni – Social Democratic Party (SDP), Bisi Kolawole – Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Daramola Roland – Labour Party (LP), Oladosu Fatomilola – New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Olaniyi Agboola – People’s Redemption Party (PRP) Stick with Naija News as we bring you more updates… 10: 09: The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bisi Kolawole has cast his vote in the ongoing governorship election in Ekiti State. Naija News gathered that the governorship candidate cast his vote at Unit 001, Ward 8 in Efon-Ekiti, Efon local government area of the state. 09:56: Voting has commenced in some polling units in Ekiti State as voters troop out to vote for their preferred governorship candidate. The elected governorship candidate would take over from the state Governor, Kayode Fayemi whose tenure would end in 2023.
