‘I Swear To God, I Will Kill’ – How Policeman Threatened #EndBadGovernance Protesters
One of the policemen deployed to halt the breakdown of law during the #EndBadGovernance protests in Kano State has openly threatened to kill protesters.
Naija News understands that protest in the few days in some part of the state has turned violent.
A mob that tried to perpetrate violence at Government House, Kano, was forcefully dispersed.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf later declared curfew to check the widespread violence.
However, despite the curfew, some protesters returned to the streets, daring security operatives.
According to DailyTrust, in one of the trending videos on the breakdown of law and order, a policeman, who spoke in Hausa, was heard threatening the protesters.
He said, “Keep looting. Is it because I did not do what I had done to them? Those throwing stones should not stop. I swear to God, if police officers bleed, I will kill. I swear to God I will kill.”
In a related development, protesters in Kano State have taken to streets in continuation of the ongoing nationwide protest against hunger and bad governance.
Naija News understands that the protest comes few hours after President Bola Tinubu in a nationwide broadcast, on Sunday, told the youths that he heard them loud and clear, calling for the protest to be suspended.
