Governorship Poll: Why INEC Suspends Adamawa REC

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has suspended the Resident Electoral Commissioner REC, of Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa Ari from associating himself with the Commission.

INEC made the decision just after the declaration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Binani the winner of the Adamawa State governorship poll.

He was, therefore, warned to stay away from the Commission till further notice.

Consequent to the development, some concerned citizens have opined that the suspension of Ari by the INEC is not unconnected with the declaration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Binani as the winner of the poll, despite a glaring gerrymandering surrounding the exercise.
