‘Gandollar’ – Shekarau Mocks Ganduje Over Dollar Videos
Former Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau has described Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State as the master of “stuffing dollars in the pocket”.
Shekarau, a former Kano governor and Senator representing Kano Central in the National Assembly, made this known at an event held at his residence in Kano on Tuesday.
Naija News reports that the APC in Kano State has been embroiled in crisis which has brought about the emergence of two factional state Chairmen. While one is loyal to Ganduje, the other is loyal to Shekarau and Senator Barau Jibrin.
In an earlier interview, Ganduje had accused Shekarau and Jibrin of “collecting money in Abuja” without executing good projects for their constituents.
Reacting, Shekarau mocked Ganduje for allegedly stuffing dollars in his pocket in a viral video.
He also asked a popular radio contributor, Alhajiji Nagoda, to tell Kano people who is corrupt between him and the governor.
“Alhajiji claims to be the leader of collecting, but I’m now calling on him to tell the people of Kano who is the king of stuffing [dollars]?” Shekarau said.
The lawmaker stated he will not leave the ruling APC for the governor, saying he will save the party from imminent collapse.
Shekarau said he decided to form a faction within APC because the principles of internal democracy had been violated by Ganduje and his cronies.
Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s deputy during his first term, Hafiz Abubakar, has joined the All Progressives Congress faction of Shekarau in Kano State
It was gathered that Abubakar and several others were in attendance at an event that was held at the residence of Shekarau on Tuesday.
