Emiliano Sala’s sister is in a critical condition after a presumed suicide attempt
Emiliano Sala’s sister, Romina, who has been the spokesperson for their family since his disappearance and death on 21st January 2019, is in a critical condition in hospital following what is believed to be a suicide attempt, according to Argentinian media.
She was the first member of the Sala family to travel to the United Kingdom following the disappearance of her brother. She was the driving force behind forcing authorities to continue to search for her brother’s body.
Sala was flying to the UK having completed a move to Cardiff City from Nantes, when the plane carrying him disappeared over the English channel.
It led to a huge search operation and eventually, remnants of the aircraft were eventually discovered on the seabed.
Sala’s body was found a few days later, but that of pilot David Ibbotson was never found.
Sharing an image on his birthday, October 31, two years ago, Romina wrote: “There are no words that can describe the pain.
“Happy birthday brother! Where ever you are, give us the strength to go on.”
