Details about Nollywood Legendary Actor, Mr. Ibu’s Demise

The Nigerian film industry is in mourning following the tragic news of the passing of beloved Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu.

Known for his exceptional talent and unique contribution to the entertainment sector, Mr. Ibu’s death marks a significant loss not only to Nollywood but to fans around the globe.

Sources confirm that Mr. Ibu passed away at Evercare Hospital. The circumstances surrounding his death have yet to be disclosed, but the news has sent shock throughout the entertainment community.

Mr. Ibu was renowned for his comedic roles, bringing laughter and joy to many through his performances. His distinctive style and humor made him a household name, and his contributions to Nollywood have left an indelible mark on the industry.

A lot of people are in pain while pouring aspersion on the wife of the actor, and her alleged accomplices for engaging in a struggle for vanity that has culminated in his demise.

Meanwhile, reacting to the development, the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka Rollas who confirmed Ibu’s passing in an Instagram post on Saturday wrote:
“Sad Day for Actors Guild of Nigeria. Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today and Mr lbu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor. I announce with a deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace.”

Mr Ibu underwent multiple surgeries and a leg amputation in 2023.
