After six years of the horrible experience that seemingly opened the gates of the ongoing ugly incidents on security matter in Nigeria, the former Federal Minister of Solid Mineral under the president emeritus Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo, Oby Ezekwesili has regretted her actions during the campaign #Bring back our girls in 2015, which she championed tarnishing the tenure of the immediate former president Goodluck Jonathan.

Describing the chibok girls abduction saga as a calculated plan to tarnish Jonathan’s image, Ezekwesili said she was hoodwinked to working against the smooth adminstration of the former president while thinking it was for the best interest of Nigerians.

She further cautions Nigerians especially those outside the Northern geopolitical zone to be careful when working with Fulani caucaus because, their intentions are usually different from what others think.

“Now I believe that “Chibok Girls Kidnapping” was planned to tarnish Goodluck Jonathan’s image for Muhammadu Buhari to win election”.

She said “I was doing “Bring Back Our Girls” Project with Hadiza Usman Bala in 2014.

“I didn’t know she was sent to the project by Fulani leaders to tarnish the image of Goodluck Jonathan for Muhammadu Buhari to win an election.

“Be careful when working with Fulani because their intentions are different from what you think.

Meanwhile Hadiza Usman Bala had immediately after the election, left the project and was given appointed as MD Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

It will be recalled that around 11 p.m. on April 14, trucks of militants from Boko Haram, whose name roughly translates to “Western education is forbidden,” forced 276 girls from their dorms onto trucks and drove toward the lawless cover of the Sambisa forest, a nature reserve the jihadist group had taken over to wage a bloody war against the government.

Consequently, the attack sparked #BringBackOurGirls, an international campaign embraced by then U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.
