BREAKING: Explosion rocks Abia illegal refinery, many feared dead
An illegal refinery situated in Uzuaku Community in the Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State has been hit by an explosion.
No fewer than ten people reportedly lost their lives in the incident.
The state government and concerned agencies are yet to make a statement on the incident.
The explosion happened barely two weeks after a fire explosion killed over 100 persons at an illegal crude oil refining site in Imo State.
The issue of illegal refinery has become a topical issue in recent times as more citizens delve into the deadly venture to eke a living amid economic hardship.
