APC Confirms N100m Payment For Jonathan’s Presidential Form
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed the N100m payment for presidential nomination and expression of interest forms for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Naija News learned that Heritage Bank notified the ruling APC of the payment of the money for Jonathan’s presidential form in a letter. In the letter dated May 9, 2022, and addressed to the National Organising Secretary of the APC, the bank said the payment was made into the party’s account number 5600007616. The letter was signed by Heritage Bank Regional Head in Abuja, Daniel Oniko; and co-signed by the bank’s Experienced Center Manager, Isaiah Ediae. The letter was titled, ‘Notification of Credit Into Account: All Progressives Congress (APC) Collections Account: 5600007616’. It reads, “We write to confirm that your subject account has been credited with the sum of N30,000,000.00 (Thirty Million Naira Only) being Expression of Interest form for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for Presidency. “Please take this as a credit advice of the transaction in this regard.” According to the Punch, a second letter also from the bank notified the APC of the receipt of N70m for the Nomination Form for Jonathan. The platform claimed that a serving governor paid the N100m for the presidential form into the APC Collection Account domiciled with Heritage Bank. Jonathan joined the long list of over 35 aspirants that have picked up the ruling party’s presidential forms and that will contest its presidential ticket.
