AFCON: Super Eagles Striker, Sadiq Umar Clears Air over Fake Injury, Departure from Team’s Camp in Abidjan

Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar has released a statement to clear the air surrounding his injury woes and departure from the team’s camp in Abidjan.

Sadiq Umar who also plays for Real Sociedad FC in Spain expressed in-depth appreciation for fans and Nigerians who showed concerns about the situation surrounding his injury and departure from the team’s camp.

Umar, however, revealed his dissatisfaction with the allegations that he faked his injury to return to his club, Real Sociedad rather than play for the Super Eagles in the ongoing AFCON in Ivory Coast.

His quest to clarify Nigerians on the development does not go down well with many who are now pouring aspersions against the country’s medical team and officials’ approach to the player’s condition which forced him to vacate the team’s camp abruptly.
