LIVE UPDATES: APC, PDP, APGA, YPP, Others Jostle In Anambra Governorship Election

Residents of Anambra State are expected to come out in their numbers today to vote in the next governor to pilot the affairs of the state for the next four years.

Naija News reports that the major parties jostling for the state’s number one seat include the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP).

The run-up to the election which has dominated media space like no other promises to be an intriguing affair.

Who amongst Senator Andy Uba, Valentine Ozigbo, Charles Soludo and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah would carry the day?

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano and his wife, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano have voted in the ongoing Anambra Guber elections.

As early as 9:25 am, they arrived the Eri Primary School, Otuocha 1, polling unit 004 where there are 1162 number of registered voters

Report: party agents are present. No security agents yet. INEC officials arrived at 9:00am. A few voters are present.

Report: Election officials are sorting materials and are yet to set up.

Governor Willie Obiano polling unit.

Voting has commenced in polling unit 14, Nwobodo Umuanyonam, Abagana ward ii, Njikoka LGA.

According to electorate, accreditation commenced 20 minutes ago.

At Polling Unit 10, ward 10, Awka South, election officials are on ground waiting for arrival of 8.30am stipulated commencement time while also waiting for eligible voters.

At Polling Unit 24, ward 10, Awka South, polling officials seem to be battling with login details for the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.

As at 8.39am, polling officials have set up and ready to commence polls at PU 027, ward 06, Awka South.
