2023 Presidency: Tinubu Arrives Nigeria From Saudi Arabia
The National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) and frontline presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu, has returned to Nigeria after attending lesser hajj also known as Umrah in Saudi Arabia.
Naija News learned that the former Lagos governor arrived in the country through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State on Friday night. Tinibu, who spent three days in Saudi Arabia for the Islamic ritual, was received at the Lagos airport by some of his supporters and associates. Recall that on Friday, members of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) picked up his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the ruling APC at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja. Some of the TSG members include the House of Representatives member from Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke; member representing Agege Federal Constituency in the green chamber, Babatunde Adejare; and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal. Asiwaju Tinubu will contest the APC presidential ticket with the likes of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State; Minister of Labour, Chris Ngiger; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, among others.
