2023 Presidency: Tambuwal, Obi To Meet PDP Lawmakers
Two presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are to meet with members of the party in the National Assembly this evening.
Naija News reports that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, made this known in a letter signed by the Minority Leader, Hon Ndudi Elumelu. During Tuesday’s plenary session, the speaker revealed that Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, and the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, will meet with the PDP lawmakers at Wuse 2 in Abuja by 9pm. After reading the letter, Gbajabiamila mocked the PDP by asking Elumelu if Tambuwal and Obi are pairing up to run for the presidency. Replying to the speaker, Elumelu said both politicians are not pairing up to contest the presidency. Meanwhile, former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani on Tuesday confirmed reports of a fresh terrorist attack on a military base in Kaduna State. The lawmaker in a short statement via his Twitter account sent his condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives during the attack. He commended them for putting up a good resistance before eventually getting overwhelmed by their attackers.
