2023: Good News For PDP As Atiku And Wike Reconcile (Photos)
Two of the big wigs within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nyesom Wike and Atiku Abubakar have decided to set their differences aside ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Atiku, the 2019 presidential candidate of the PDP, and Wike, the Rivers State Governor were widely reported to be at loggerheads over the control structure of the party.
Specifically, Governor Wike is said to be planning to create a smooth passage for Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal to clinch the party ticket in 2023, a move that reportedly does not sit well with Atiku.
This resulted in a disagreement between Wike and the PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus who is believed to be favouring the Atiku camp against Wike.
However, the two PDP chieftains seem to have set aside their differences and decided to work together in the interest of the party following Tuesday’s meeting in Port-Harcourt.
According to a reliable source privy to details of the meeting, Wike was even heard saying: “If Atiku can manage and unite his Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba wives he will surely unite Nigeria.”
The parley also had in attendance, former Kogi West senator, Dino Melaye.

Meanwhile, former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye has lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari for travelling to the UK to attend a global education summit.
According to the former Kogi lawmaker, the President has nothing to offer at the summit as he would just be an observer.
Melaye argued that Buhari should have sent his deputy, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to such an event and just face his medical trip squarely rather than hide under the guise of an education summit to see his doctors in London.
