2023: Bukola Saraki Storms Cross River, Makes Huge Promise

Former Senate president and presidential aspirant Bukola Saraki has promised the people of Cross River to take the economic development of the state to the next level when he becomes president.

Saraki made the pledge during an official visit to the PDP delegates in Calabar. He took to his Twitter page to post updates on the visit. Saraki promised to empower more youths and women in the state. He wrote, “Duly nicknamed ‘The People’s Paradise’, Cross River State’s economic potential in the areas of tourism and mineral resource extraction are enormous. “This is why, in my message to @OfficialPDPNig delegates in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, I emphasized that I will be a President that takes the economic development of Cross River State and the security of its people and their businesses seriously. “I also reaffirmed my pledge to ensure the empowerment of more women and young people across Cross River State in politics, government, and the private sector if elected to serve as Nigeria’s next President.” Saraki had declared his intention to run for President in January 2022 via a Facebook post after his various followers demanded that he made his position known. The former Senate president is seeking to contest under the PDP platform.
