2023: Buhari’s Minister, Pauline Tallen Declares Senatorial Ambition
The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen, has declared her 2023 Senatorial ambition.
Naija News reports that the minister has announced his intention to contest for the Plateau South Senatorial seat in the 2023 general elections. The minister will battle Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, who is believed to be also interested in the senatorial seat. The incumbent senator, Prof. Nora Dadu’ut, is said to have decided not to run for the position come 2023, paving the way for the minister to join the senatorial race. It is understood that Plateau South Senatorial District covers six local government areas namely, Langtang North, Langtang South, Mikang, Qua’anpan, Shendam, and Wase. Meanwhile, a stalwart of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ned Nwoko has explained why he wants to be in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly in 2023. He said his vision to become the next senator to represent Delta North Senatorial District is to enable him champion the area to an enviable height. Pĺp reports that Nwoko disclosed this at Ogwashi-Uku, in Delta State. Nwoko, a prince, said his tenure in the House of Representatives brought notable developments to his constituency, adding that his victory would mean matching forward for the people of Delta North.
