10th Senate: Parties Grumble, Wait For Supplementary Poll, As INEC Unveils Names of 109 Senators-elect

Some political parties have been vastly concerned about the list of Senators-elect in the just concluded February 25th, 2023 National Assembly and Presidential election in Nigeria. To this effect, political parties who have earlier expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the presidential poll may have more trouble moments to contain with, following the release of the list by the INEC.

Political analysts have opined that with the result, the President-elect and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have gotten nothing to bother about at the Senatorial level.

Nonetheless, at a closer look at the list, and in anticipation of the supplementary list, others have contrary and divergent views.

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday, released the full list of members-elect of the 10th Senate.

To this, a new set of members, however, with returning familiar faces, will sit in the legislative arm of government making up the Red and Green chambers

In the recently released list, however, eight names are missing, as the commission noted that supplementary elections will be held in the affected senatorial districts.

The affected districts include; Enugu East, Kebbi North, Plateau Central, Sokoto East, North and South, Yobe South, and Zamfara Central
