Why Chinwetalu Was “Rearrested” By DSS.

Shortly after the news of the release of the veteran Nollywood actor, Chinwetalu Agu, from the Army custody was circulated, another news emerges stating that he has been “rearrested” by the Department Of State Service, DSS.

The DSS, in a statement, revealed that it was the Army that handed him over to them, thereby disputing the claims that he was released before his “rearrest.”

He was said to have been “rearrested” for further interrogation to ascertain his involvement in the spate of killings witnessed in the East in the recent past.

Recall that he was initially arrested by the Army at Upper Iweka, Onitcha, Anambra state, while he was seen in an apparel made with the Biafran colors.

There were reports that he was manhandled and dehumanized, but the Army came out to discredit such reports saying that he was never brutalized.

Currently, he is in the custody of DSS: the Actors Guild Of Nigeria has also confirmed that.
