What Obi Cubana Urgently Needs To Do.

One of the most popular post that trended on the social media in the past day was the caption “Obi Cubana arrested by the EFCC.”

The caption was so ubiquitous that no social media user will claim not have come across it. It was almost everywhere.

Under the caption was a story about how Economic and Financial Crime Commission-EFCC invited Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly know as Obi Cubana for interrogation on alleged cases of money laundering and tax evasion.

From the body of the news, it was clear that the caption was erroneously framed. Obi Cubana was never arrested. He was simply invited. He was never in fetters not handcuffed. He was not also conveyed to the EFCC’s office in a “Sweat box.” So where did the arrest come in?

Through that caption, Nigerian media successfully defamed Cubana. It was not clear the motive behind that, what is clear is that Cubana’s image in currently in the mud.

Allegations of money laundering doesn’t spell good for international businessman with foreign investors. It a big dent that has the potentials of scaring investors away.

Again, this allegation will grossly affect Cubana’s application of Visa which will definitely stunt his business growth.

Hence, there’s a need Cubana takes step to clear him name. He should not wave it aside. He should get his lawyers to have the EFCC publish publicly the result of their findings. This is the only way he can prove himself to be innocent before the public.
