Terror Alert: Nnamdi Kanu Had Been Aware, He Tried To Warn Others But They Refused To Listen – IPOB

Appeal Court: Southeast Royal Fathers, Bishops Demand Immediate Release Of Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Friday called upon the Department of State Services (DSS) to obey the court orders and release its leader Nnamdi Kanu.

The group while reacting to the terror alert issued by the United States, United Kingdom, Canadian, and Australian embassies urged the Federal Government to release Kanu as Abuja may just be about to fall into the hands of sponsored terrorists. Naija News recalls that the terror attack directories warned that places such as government buildings, worship centres, schools, and large crowds could be the target. Amid the terror alert, the IPOB agitator is locked up at the DSS facility in Abuja despite a court ruling ordering his release. Speaking on the continuous detention of its leader amidst warnings of possible unrest in the nation’s capital, the spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, in a statement, said: “The attention of the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU has been drawn to the possible fall of Abuja to the Nigerian state-sponsored terrorists in the coming days. “The US and UK security intelligence reports concerning the fall of Abuja and Nigeria to the terrorists are real, but Nigeria compromised security agencies, particularly their Military and DSS, are busy chasing armless and peaceful citizens of Biafra in Biafraland. “The ability and preparedness of the Nigeria security forces, especially the Military (Army, Navy & Airforce) to defend the territorial borders of Nigerian has been greatly sabotaged and deteriorated to a level that will allow any foreign invader to walk into Nigeria’s capital with little or no resistance from the military. The group alleged that the Nigerian government had planted the terrorists to overrun Abuja once they feel that their chances in the upcoming election would be threatened. Powerful compared the alleged takeover to the commando-style invasion that occurred in Afghanistan. The statement opined that the group is aware that the Federal Government which they claimed is controlled by the Fulanis would be handing over Nigeria to some sponsored terrorists. IPOB maintained that their leader, Kanu has being aware of the alleged plans and tried to warn others of the impending disaster but some Biafran elites and other ethnic groups refused to listen to him and heed his call for the division of Nigeria. Speaking further, the group warned those who were residing in Abuja would have themselves to blame if they refuse to heed the warning. “IPOB state unequivocally that the Nigeria Government and Malami must adhere to and implement the ruling of the Court of Appeal, which declared Kanu a free man discharged and acquitted of all spurious allegations and charges.”
