Before the announcement of the result of the poll, he took to his Social Media page to kick against what allegedly transpired in some of the polling units, calling for its cancellation.
Arise TV reports that Senator Melaye was nowhere to be found at his polling unit which triggered mixed reactions to the circumstances surrounding his unprecedented absence.
He stated this during a meeting with the leaders from Kogi Central on Monday night
He maintained that unless the right thing is done, they would not accept the results and would defend themselves in a due course.
Senator Melaye was categorical when he called out the INEC and Security agencies not to compromise the elections.
