It is with the greatest joy and pleasure that we join our Muslim brethren in the celebration of Eid-El-Kabir.
However, it is with sadness that we bring to the fore, our dear country, Nigeria, which, at the moment is suffering from the stranglehold of insurgency, banditry, corruption, as well as insurrection. These have put our country on a precarious precipice. But we must not allow the labours of our past heroes, who fought tooth and nail to give us this country, to be in vain.
Therefore, as we bask in the celebration, let us remember to offer supplications, prayers and entreaties to the almighty Allah for the restoration, rejuvenation, revitalization and sustenance of our dear country.
It is our earnest hope and wishes that this celebration will be the springboard that will catapult this nation to a greater height. Insha Allah.
