Politics: Trouble for FFK as Umahi blasts him over controversial claims.

All might not go well for the newest bigwig in APC in his new party as he has already started attracting attacks and knocks from many quarters. This is as a result of the attacks he has been getting due to his claims yesterday On Channels after defecting to APC from PDP.

Recall that the former aviation minister under Obasanjo administration, Chief Femi-Fani Kayode popularly known as FFK was recently taken to the president by the All Progress Congress national caretaker chairman, Buni.

He had stated that he was instrumental to the recent defection of three sitting governors from PDP to APC and went ahead to name Govs. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state, Ben Ayade of Cross-River State, Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State.

However, Engr. Dave Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi state has taken a swipe on the former minister and stated that the claim is both false and insulting to his person. He practically called the former minister a liar and stated that he is sure that FFK was not instrumental to the defection of the other two governors either. He was reacting to the question from news men during an interview on channels today, friday 17th September, 2021 after the former minister made the claims yesterday.

“For someone to come and say that a whole Chairman of the Southeast Governors Forum, that he was instrumental to my movement from PDP to APC is an insult on my person and with all due respect, he has to withdraw that statement,” Umahi had said.

He added, “He remains my friend and a good one for that matter, but he played no role in my movement and I am sure he didn’t play any role in the movement of the rest of us.”
