In life, it is a known fact that a light shining on top of a mountain will be seen by all and that gold is a precious stone which can never be ignored by both the high and the low. This is the case with a foremost judicial icon and leader from Anambra State, the former chief justice of Anambra state, Prof. Peter Umeadi, a frontline APGA party leader and presidential hopeful come 2023.
Recall that recently, the Igbo National Council (INC) endorsed his ambition as well as made him their chairman of the occasion during their recently organized ‘Anambra Political Summit’ with the theme ‘Anambra Guber – An Acid Test For Igbo National Political Future’, a role he played very well.
Also recall that many other organizations such as Anambra State Association of Town Union, Association of Former Presidents of ASATU South-East, etc has recognized and a host of others has endorsed him.
However, the most recent in his bank of recognition and honours is the recent invitation by the management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) as the principal guest lecturer in their Public Lecture holding on Friday, 25th June 2021, with the theme ‘Science, Technology and Innovation in Nigeria – Implication For National Growth’.
He was invited alongside other notable Nigerians of high standing and repute such as; Chief Augustine C. Oguejiofor (Onwa Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri) who was named the chairman of the occasion; DIG Mohammed Denmallam (Deputy Inspector General of Police, Department of Training and Development) as distinguished guest of honour; Dr. Chukwuemeka Joseph Chukwu (Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ebonyi State) amongst others. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Charles Arinzechukwu Igwe has expressed his special appreciation towards distinguished Prof. Peter Umeadi for his acceptance of the invitation and thus looks forward to having him at the occasion.
Meanwhile, recall that earlier this week, the distinguished Prof. Umeadi was at Ilesha to pay a courtesy visit to the foremost leader in Yoruba land who happens to be his friend and supporter in the person of Chief Ebenezer Babatope, former Hon. Minister and former Director of Publicity UPN. He went for the courtesy call at Ilesha alongside the South West coordinator of ‘Peter Umeadi for President 2023 Organisation (PUP 2023) in the person of Arc. Olatunboson Adedeji.
