Photos: Akwa Ibom Woman Receives Public Assault, Begs For Intervention

A Nigerian woman has been assaulted by a group angry community members for allegedly stealing three bunches of plantain.

The suspect who was caught in the act was about to take her proceeds to a popular weekly Urua Udo Inyang Market, Akwa Ibom State, when luck ran out of her.

She is fondly called Obot Udo Ekpo and hails from Ikot Akpandem in Okon Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

As of the time of filing this report, she has been handed over to the Police at Uqua Division by the Village Youth President, Akparawa Uyai Udo, for investigation and prosecution.
