Photo speaks: Awka Community Honors Chief Emma Odo with a Chieftaincy title.
As part of commendation and acknowledgement for his immense contribution towards the development of Awka town, Yesterday the traditional ruler of Awka Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Obi (Dr) Austin Ndigwe, Eze Uzu III of Awka Ancient Kingdom, during his New Yam Festival Celebration, conferred the Chief Executive Officer of EPO Mega Choice Oil and Gas Ltd, Chief Emma Odo with the Chieftaincy title “Ugwu Mba N’ Awka”.
The ceremony which took place at Ezeuzu’s palace in Awka, attracted a good number of dignitaries from the length and breadth of the nation, including traditional rulers of different towns as well as members of Nze na Ozo fraternity.
The event featured the administration of the title by the traditional ruler of Awka Kingdom as well as melodious traditional music from Igbo percussionists.
Chief Emma Odo ( Ugwu Mba N’ Awka Kingdom) is from Amala of Nsukka LGA, Enugu State, but has contributed in no small measures to the development of Awka through providing Jobs for Awka indigenes and residents and other philanthropic gestures.
