OFFICIAL: Juventus appoint Andrea Pirlo as head coach.

Juventus have confirmed World cup winner Andrea Pirlo as their new coach after the sacking Maurizio Sarri earlier today. The former Chelsea boss was sacked after the club were dumped out of the UEFA Champions League by Olympique Lyonnais last night.

Pirlo was initially named the under-23 coach at Juventus but he has been promoted to replace Sarri as the new coach at the club.

The World cup winner during his illustrious football career played for AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and now has been confirmed as the new manager of the Biaconeris.

Juventus released an official statement on their website to announce Pirlo as their new coach.

“Andrea Pirlo will be the new Juventus coach . 41 years old, born in Flero in the province of Brescia, Andrea Pirlo has a legendary career as a football player that has led him to win everything , from the Champions League to the World Championship in 2006.

“In his four years at the helm of Juventus midfield , Pirlo has won as many league titles, an Italian Cup and two Super Cups.”
