NIMC said the development was part of the policy of the federal government to enhance the process of accessing NIN and connect it to the Subscribers Identification Module (SIM) and to align it with the digital Nigeria national digital economy policy.
Here is how to confirm if the NIN-SIM was successfully completed.
1. MTN.
Users of MTN can dial *785# or visit https://mtnonline.com/nim/ to register for NIN-Sim linkage by phone or device.
You will receive a message after that: ” Your NIN submission has been received. Verification Pending. Thank you.”

2. Airtel
Step 1: Dial *121# on the Airtel line to connect your NIN to your Airtel phone number.
Step 2: For “NIN Capture” type 1 and submit.
Step 3: Type and give your 11- digit NIN.
Wait for the message confirming your submission. If you make a mistake just wait a while and try again.
3. Globacom
Globacom subscribers are expected to visit https://www.gloworld.com/ng/nin/ to verify the three ways to connect NIN to SIM. The easier one, however, is to type 109 with the 11-digit NIN number. After that, this notification will be sent by the user: “Dear esteemed customer, your NIN has been received. Thanks.” So you’re going to have to wait for further confirmation. If you do not receive a call, please use an alternate method or contact your telecom operator.
4. 9Mobile
9Mobile users are required to visit any of the
telecom operator’s outlets to obtain more NIN-SIM connection information.
