Nigerian Lady Reportedly Dies During Plastic Surgery In India (Video)

A 28-year-old Nigerian lady identified as Amelia Pounds, has reportedly died, following complications during liposuction surgery in India.

Naija News gathered that the businesswoman died during the surgery at an undisclosed hospital in New Delhi on Friday morning, October 7, 2022. The Nigerian lady was said to have given up the ghost while being operated on. In a video making the rounds online, the doctor was heard apologizing to her.

Also, an Instagram user confirmed the incident to Kenyan socialite, Vera Sidika, stating that the lady attempted to join her friend who recently underwent surgery. The post read: “Hello Vera. Hopefully u are doing well now, I have a story to share that happened here in India. One Nigerian girl she just go do surgery and she pass out. And the girl was very okay with her shape but because her friend did surgery and she survived it she though it will be same to her now she died what a pity.”

EFCC Arraigns Sapphire Scents’ MD Wale Jana

Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has arraigned the Managing Director of Sapphire Scents Limited, Adewale Aladejana, also known as Wale Jana. According to the anti-graft agency on Friday, Adewale Aladejana was arraigned on Tuesday, October 4th before Justice M. A Madugu of the Federal High Court sitting in Bwari, Abuja. He was arraigned on a three- count charges bordering on misappropriation and obtaining under false pretense to the tune of N12,000,000 (Twelve Million Naira only) from potential investors in his company.

He was alleged to have collected the sum of N12 million from potential  investors  in his company,  with a promise of turnover in six months, without offering any profit or returning the invested funds to his investors.
