Nigeria: Why Would Any person Belong To A Country Where One Half Sees Terrorists As Warriors? – Lawyer
The current security situation in Nigeria has persistently continued to raise the dust on the issue of unity and the peaceful coexistence of the various ethnic groups in the country. This gives birth to lingering ululation in many communities in Nigeria, especially in the Southeastern part of the country. Thus, people have become more conscious of the prevalent security challenges which have further put so many Nigerian families, communities, and states in horrible conditions.
It’s against this background that the Special Counsel To The Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor has again, raised alarm over the rising impurities against certain ethnicity in the country.
Barrister Ejimakor recently reacted to the position of a popular Islamic cleric, Gumi, who asked Northers not to vote for a candidate who haunts down bandits in their forest.
According to the Northern Leader, Gumi, bandits are the Warriors of the people in the forests and should not be killed.
Consequently, the barrister has expressed bitterness over the continuous exhibition of acrimonious tendencies of animosity by some sections of the country, while others are approached with contempt.
He, further, queries the moral justification for the claims of unity of such a country amidst glaring hate, and injustice across the states.
